It is a trip that many tens of thousands of people opt to test themselves with each calendar year, and it is a genuine evaluation of one’s willpower and fitness: a trip up Mount Everest. However, the experience is one that will not easily be forgotten in the near future! When we left the fascinating city of Kathmandu to go to Lukla, I had the realization that this hike was going to be one of the most challenging, but ultimately rewarding, of my entire life. In addition to the jaw-dropping beauty of the surrounding region, one of the aspects of this particular trail that has stood out as particularly appealing to me is the chance to get a glimpse into the everyday lives of the locals. People who travel to the base camp with the intention of being pampered in five-star resorts are looking in the wrong direction. We would be staying in adorable modest teahouses, which in the past have been extremely straightforward but myBlogdly comfortable. People who are somewhat more experienced in relation to hiking vacations will tell you that immersing oneself in the local way of life is a significant component of the kinds of vacations that are considered to be authentic experience vacations. If you end up going with a team, it is also a great way to meet people from different countries all around the world. The first substantial elevation of this tour was when we climbed Namche Hill, which was a challenging hike despite the fact that the local guides looked to catch up with us quite fast there. It is essential that you have achieved a particular degree of physical fitness before traveling to Nepal because you will need to acclimatize to the high altitude, which is another factor that has to be considered. The healthiest climbers in the group were able to conquer the 5,545-meter Kalar Patar thanks, in part, to their abstinence from chocolate bars and increased time spent working out in the gym. The views at the top are really breathtaking, and they make the effort that was put in to get there more than worthwhile. When we make our way back to Kathmandu I was disappointed that my time in Nepal had come to an end, but as I flipped through the incredible pictures on my camera, the memory came flooding back. I realized that this could be an experience that I would never forget; the people that I had met and the places that I had seen actually did make this vacation the trip of a lifetime.
