As of the 31st of January, 2019, for immediate release in New Delhi: Dr. Sohini Sartri, a well-known social worker from Kolkata, was recently honored by Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Honorable Vice President of India, at the Champions of Change Award Ceremony that took place at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The selection of Dr. Sartri for this award was based on her many accomplishments in the field of social work as well as her other areas of expertise. Astrologer Dr. Sartri is a well-known figure in the field of astrology. Those who were honored were chosen by a panel of judges led by Mr. K.G. Balakrishnan, who had previously served as India’s Chief Justice. The jury included notable individuals from a variety of areas, including a former judge of the Supreme Court named Gyan Sudha Mishra and a distinguished writer named Mr. Vedpratap Vaidik. Because she is one of the 45 eminent personalities from all over India, including bureaucrats, police officers, social activists, and businessmen, Dr. Satri’s remarkable accomplishment has made her state, West Bengal, proud. These individuals were all honored with the prestigious awards that were established by the Interactive Forum on the Indian Economy (ifie). In order to recognize and honor those individuals who have made substantial contributions to the implementation of real change in aspirational districts and to the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, the Internet Foundation of India (IFI) has established the Champions of Change Awards this year. The following individuals have been recognized with awards: Mr. N. Biren Singh, the Chief Minister of Manipur; Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries; and Mr. Jaswantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor and Mr. Sudarshan Bhagat, both Union Ministers of State for Tribal Affairs.
