As a devoted American, I have served in the military on active duty and been honorably discharged. Even while there are issues with our country, this does not justify opposing it. Is there a country that is superior than ours? amendment to the balanced budget. seems to have a pleasant ring to it? On one of the discussion programs, a senator was advocating for it. Mark Levin, host of a talk program, expressed support for it. And why would one want to change a balanced budget? Obviously, to provide our country with consistently balanced finances. What is the issue with that? not a material object. I’m all for keeping a budget that is consistently balanced. In addition to killing its animals, mixing its wine, and setting its table, knowledge has constructed its home and carved out its seven pillars. It has released its maidens and is yelling at the city’s highest points. Proverbs 9:1-3 Let’s shed some light on this issue. It would take a lot of labor, time, and effort to get such a constitutional amendment, and after we did, we would discover that it didn’t achieve the goal. It’s similar to enacting legislation mandating moral behavior from all individuals. Even with the rules that prohibit bank robberies, bank robberies nonetheless occur. Despite the fact that murder is illegal, murders nonetheless occur. Even though it is illegal, perjury is nonetheless perpetrated. It would be broken if we had a balanced budget amendment. Who will then go ahead and arrest those who violated the law? Who will bring charges against the violators? How many of them would end up behind bars? If you replied none, then I think you’re correct. If we had a balanced budget amendment, the people breaking the law would be those in government, and the government is not going to imprison its own, particularly because it would be so hard to establish intent. If a politician is questioned about anything, all they have to answer is, I voted my conscience. Will someone who votes with their conscience be imprisoned? Therefore, instead of doing this foolish activity that seems nice but would turn out to be unsuccessful, let’s use our time more intelligently. Mark Levin and your senatorial buddy are wrong.
