Monday, September 1, 2017, Monterey, California — Snidely may be a goofy snake, but he is also a hero who saves lives in his new book. In the book, he tells youngsters humorous tales that make them laugh. Not only that, but snidely will also support fellow veterans of his co-creator, a crippled u.s. army veteran who served during the time of the vietnam war. One dollar of the revenues from the sale of each book will be donated to the post-traumatic stress disorder foundation of america. The foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to mentoring our combat veterans and their families who are dealing with post-traumatic stress. They feel it is our duty as Americans to assist these mighty warriors and their families in adjusting to their new normal and finding a new normal for themselves. The book “silly smiling snidely” was written by reuben maestas and his wife of 34 years, lucy. Reuben also did the illustrations for the book. Reuben is a veteran who suffers from severe post-traumatic stress disorder (ptsd), which causes the agony from his injuries to radiate throughout his body. Fortunately, Reuben was able to channel his frustration with his condition via writing. When Reuben’s post-traumatic stress disorder becomes too much for him to manage and he has the want to quit up, he puts down the insane people that he has been thinking about. He adds that he tries to immerse himself in the character and thinks about how it will assist children of all ages to be happy, even if it’s only while they are reading about his funny snake. He also says that he thinks about how it will benefit children of all ages. Snidely and the book have been more beneficial to Reuben’s post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) than any medicine he has taken in the past. They have saved his life. Since 1989, he has been snidely drawing and writing on many topics. After working on it for a few days, he would eventually get disheartened and put it aside. After a few months had passed, he would take it back up and continue working on it for a few days. This continued for a number of years until ultimately, Reuben and Lucy came to the conclusion that it was just too adorable for them to keep to themselves. They completed the book in 2015, and it was released the following year. The story “silly smiling snidely,” which describes Snidely’s travels and experiences as he “slips, slides, and slithers sideways slowly south,” also has a minor plot twist. Only words that start with the letter “s” come out of his mouth, or as Reuben and Lucy would remark, “snidely definitely tells some side-slapping tales.” “You snake, you foolish snake!” And because Snidely is such an entertaining and helpful resource for people living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), one dollar from the sale of each book will be donated to the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Foundation of America, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing mentoring to veterans and their families who are coping with the effects of post-traumatic stress. “working on this book was such a joy, and we are quite happy of how it turned out,” said Lucy, who was one of the authors. “so many people, and particularly teachers, comment what a fantastic, instructive book for people of all ages to appreciate; in addition, it’s so much fun to read!” Both Reuben and Lucy are already hard at work on the sequels to Snidely’s tales, and there will be two of them. Lucy thinks that being a part of something that will make other people happy is really thrilling for her. “when you can be a part of something that makes others laugh, smile, and be happy in this awful world, then it’s an achievement in my heart,” she said. “that’s what I am most proud of.” In addition to being sold at Amazon and Barnes & Noble, the book may be purchased in the following traditional bookshops in the following cities: indigo baby is a baby clothing store located in the de vargas center at 185 paseo de peralta in Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501. doolet’s gift shop is located at 120 don gaspar ave in Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501. astro-zombies is a gift and comic book shop located at 3100 central ave se in Albuquerque, New Mexico 87106. more information can be found on the pts The ptsd foundation of america is a non-profit organization that provides mentoring services to our nation’s war veterans and their families who are dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder.
