With the help of kns architects in Mumbai, an interior project with facade treatment is being prepared for a 7,500 square foot triplex penthouse that overlooks the skyline of south Mumbai. This penthouse is designed to give the impression of a cottage while being surrounded by luxury. The fundamental goal of the design of the penthouse, which is located on the 21st level of a high-rise building, is to create a villa in the sky, and the ‘hanging’ facade of the penthouse reveals this intention. While taking into consideration the “larger-than-life” background that is offered by the skyline, the design is implemented with a flow that goes from the outside to the inside. Not only does the facade, which is completely composed of glass windows and doors of varied size, release the floodgates of sunshine into the home, but it also generates unique volumes in space. A lilly pond on the deck that is six inches deep adds a novel dimension to the immediate surroundings of the house. The floor cover of the apartment is made of toughened, extra-clear glass that is 19 millimeters thick and partially accommodates a couple of bar stools right in front of the bar counter. The apartment evokes a bespoke intrigue in almost every pocket. False ceiling rafters made of btc give certain areas of the bedroom, living room, and kitchen a canopy-like feel and a warm atmosphere. On the other hand, the ceiling of the entertainment zone is designed in teak wood and frosted acrylic in a mesmerizing geometric pattern with awe-inspiring illumination. Within the sky villa, the staircase is given a prominent position since it is intended to serve as a component that brings together all of the different volumes of the home. The cantilevered staircase, which is made of steel and finished in Italian marble (black marquee), is lit along the railing, which enhances the powerful aura that it radiates. The staircase is handled as a sculptural component. Murals in three dimensions have been applied to certain walls in the dining hall and bedrooms. Every single one of these walls has its own distinct personality in terms of the design and the material palette. In addition to a combination of black marque, wooden-finish tiles, and leather tiles, satvario marble has been used extensively for flooring purposes throughout the building. Cpvc frames with a wooden finish are used to decorate doors and windows. The house has been featured in the most recent edition of the book titled “fifty luxury apartments in India,” in addition to receiving accolades and awards for the architects on local platforms. This is a reflection of the design intent of the architects who were responsible for the house, which was that “every space must fulfill a purpose with exceptional style and elegance.” Here is a link to the photographs of the villa that can be seen on indiaartndesign.com.
