Working in collaboration with rapac, a supplier in North America for polystyrene and expanded polystyrene recycling, Nova has developed the r625b. This product is comprised of 75 percent maiden eps from the Beaver Valley facility of Nova Chemicals, and 25 percent ecosix, which is rapac’s recycled polystyrene. In comparison to other recycled content EPS, Nova Chemicals asserts that r625b is much superior in terms of both resin consistency and technique, and that it is comparable to virgin EPS resin. Furthermore, the company claims that it does not need any extra equipment.
