“Mama Smile” is a colorful miniature world of learning-integrated comfort for toddlers and their developing minds, and it was carved out by the architect Emmanuelle Moureaux Architecture + Design. This compilation was compiled by Savita Hira. Photography was done by Daisuke Shima and NACASA and Partners. For the purpose of providing much-needed relaxation to young mothers who are outside with their little munchkins, this careful and joyful endeavor of designer-client cooperation is taking place in a shopping mall in Mito, Japan. Emmanuelle Moureaux, a designer who is particularly well-known for her theoretical and psychological uses of color in design, introduces a “miniature-world-within-the-little-world” for youngsters who are up to ten years old. “mother smile” is a facility that is both an indoor playground and a day nursery. It was developed with the idea that a kid should feel safe and secure in his or her own room. The facility is accessible via a huge cut-out that is designed like a child-drawn home and opens through a white wall. This room is 459 square meters in size and is completely devoted to this endeavor. Outwardly, the planet seems to be unremarkable; nevertheless, with closer inspection, it reveals itself to be a vibrant world filled with dwellings of seven different colors, including yellow, pink, green, and blue of varying hues. numerous facilities split the space, producing a meandering and interesting appeal, where the young ones discover other regions from the gap of back alleyways and between the homes. comparable to a little town for tourists, the space is divided into several facilities. “area for everyone (minna-no-hiroba)” is available for various events such as birthday parties, “area for events (ibento-hiroba)” for game and dance events, the area with air jumper equipments provides space for children to run around, and the “area for crawling (hai-hai-hiroba)” for babies and the adjacent cafe space with floor cushion is for adults to stay on the same eye level as the children… with “mama smile”, adults can watch over children playing freely in peace and it is hoped that children will build up their rich sensibility in a space full of colours.
