The outdoor patio of an artist studio is brought to life by Shabnam Gupta of the Orange Lane, who brings a beautiful balance and a great deal of flare to the space. Shabnam Gupta, who is well-known for designing places that are visually attractive, expressive, and customized, has designed this duplex with a combination of modern materials and unique accents that are original to the artist’s personality and way of life. Despite the fact that the interior moves smoothly to stretch out onto the terrace, she manages to convey the feeling precisely across the whole residence. Exposed brick cladding of the facade wraps around the terrace, and metal and glass screens extend into the internal areas of the house. This is done in order to improve the environmental conditions that are already present on the site. The terrace is connected to the level above by means of a sophisticated metal staircase that has a glass railing and a wooden balustrade. This staircase was developed as an alternative to an interior spiral staircase. Plaster and rough stone floors are an excellent compliment to the natural and uncomplicated atmosphere of the surroundings. The two floors are visually connected by a vertically planted wall that is both space-saving and intelligent. This wall also takes into consideration and completely balances the greens that are included in the design palette. The lower entrance room is given a sense of drama by the addition of an ancient art piece that is adorned on this wall. The sitting is located in an alcove that is located across the stairs, and an adjacent area that is furnished with a rug and a wooden table matches the formality of the situation. In contrast to the brick facade, ornamental lighting fixtures that are both technological and custom-made contribute to the creation of a gentle and cozy atmosphere at night. The materials, the scenery, the lighting, and the informal placement of quirky pieces, such as the red metal chairs, the blue-tiled center table, the matching blue awning, and the cheery furniture, all contribute to the introduction of color. Shabnam Gupta produces an unquestionably lovely place that will make one want to jump in and relax right away by skillfully combining a variety of colors, textures, works of art, and accessories.
