An Analysis Of The Douma Leadership Situation I apologize in advance if I come off as repeating myself too much, but certain aspects in the field of digital marketing are so vitally crucial that I simply cannot stress them enough. The first thing you need is a solid website. And number two: you need more than just a good website. There is, of course, a difference between knowing something and actually putting that knowledge into practice, even if you are aware of this. When it comes to marketing, it’s common for owners of small businesses and people starting their own businesses to struggle with having too much information. This was the situation that our client, Yvonne Douma, found herself in. Yvonne is not just one of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet but also one of the most knowledgeable communication coaches and HR professionals. However, she presented us with marketing materials that were not really impressive, and we are giving them to her. She was lacking any form of digital marketing strategy, and she was confused how to get one for her business. Yvonne was aware that something was wrong, but she lacked the knowledge necessary to get to the place she want to be. If only she could network with the appropriate individuals, those individuals would see the myBlogd value that she brings to the table. This is where the two of us come in! During the course of the previous year, we assisted Yvonne with the redesign of her brand, the creation of a website that is responsive to mobile devices, copywriting, social media marketing and advertising, and content marketing for her company, Douma Leadership, which provides professional services. In addition to all of these services, we also supplied strategic advising, which happens to be my personal favorite service. Throughout the course of the project, we assisted Yvonne in defining her services as well as her brand and in locating an online voice of which she can be pleased to share with the rest of the world. Oh, and we also assisted her in becoming a self-published author who has achieved best-seller status (no big deal!) Working with Yvonne has been a delight for both of us, and we are looking forward to even greater success in 2022 as a result of our collaboration. She claims that because she needed to fully revamp her company’s brand, she sought out to eVision Media for assistance. My website is polished, straightforward, and attractive all at the same time. Susan and the rest of her team have been encouraging and helpful throughout this process, and they are pushing me to face my fears and put myself out there in order to be seen. We cannot suggest Yvonne highly enough if you would like to assist your small business achieve happy people and healthy profitability through leadership development, HR consulting, and conflict resolution. First Step: Formulate a Strategy You wouldn’t assemble an Ikea bookshelf without first studying the directions, even though it only requires a few boards of wood and some screws, but you wouldn’t do that, would you? However, a significant number of owners of small businesses dive headfirst into the water of digital marketing without first developing any kind of strategy. Sometimes they are unable to swim at all! And this is where consulting services that focus on corporate marketing strategies come into play. I work one-on-one with my clients as a personal business marketing strategy consultant to make their marketing more powerful and effective than it has ever been before. I absolutely adore it when other people make significant strides forward and realize what has to be done and how it should be done (especially when these people are as delightful as Yvonne? As a bonus!). This has meant that Yvonne needs to hold monthly meetings to gain clarity on her business model, identify her ideal target market, and brainstorm and design marketing techniques that are optimal for her company. Even after all this time, Yvonne and I continue to get together on a regular basis, and I always look forward to our Zoom meetings. We rely on them to ensure that we continue to innovate while remaining on course. Step Two: Improving Yvonne’s Unique Selling Proposition and Revamping Her Website When customers come to my team, they frequently already have a website and brand that aren’t up to par with what they need. Yvonne fit this description perfectly; she had already invested some time and energy into her web marketing. We were fortunate in that the only thing that needed to be done to her brand was to clean up her logo; other than that, we both thought that it was a good fit for her. However, she found that her previous website was not meeting her needs. Not only did it have an outdated appearance, but it also failed to provide an accurate depiction of the range of services and high quality that Yvonne has to offer. Because of this, our team started to work on developing a website that was responsive and SEO-friendly and did a significantly better job of conveying Yvonne’s unique selling proposition (USP). Having a web development business on your side provides you with numerous benefits, one of which is the simplicity with which you may make changes to your website. Yvonne and I worked together over the course of several months and during our joint sessions to further develop the brand by developing new services and products as well as improving the ones we already had. In addition, because we designed the website, the process of updating it with new material and services is straightforward and uncomplicated. READ: The 10 Most Important Reasons Why You Should Revamp Your Company Website Have you ever visited a website that appears to be out of date and unrefreshing? What kind of an impression does that make on you? The importance of keeping websites up to date is overlooked by a great number of business owners. However, in the same way that you should occasionally update your clothes, you should also update your website. Consider a well-loved piece of clothing from the past many years. When you bought it, it was certainly the height of fashion, but these days it seems a little out of place and old. You can learn more by visiting our website. The third step is: Make a landing page for your website. YvonneDouma.com is an additional landing page that our team built for one of our customers. Websites, while extremely useful, are just one sort of online property that can contribute to the expansion of an existing company. Because of this, one of our favorite things to do is assist clients with launching landing pages. A landing page is a website that is self-contained and consists of a single page, and it has a very particular function (you can get more information about how to develop a landing page that converts here). They are a very helpful instrument to have in one’s toolkit. We built a landing page for Yvonne that revolved on a special webinar that she developed to assist working women in reclaiming their authority in the workplace. People were required to sign up with their email addresses before they could access the free presentation. Consequently, the primary objective of this landing page is to gather email addresses for the goal of expanding Yvonne’s mailing list. And while we’re doing it, we’re also spreading the word about a fantastic resource that helps potential customers get to know, like, and trust Yvonne. It’s a great way to humanize Yvonne. Triple victory! The fourth step is to promote, promote, and promote some more. Because of the way Google organizes its index, it may take many months before a website that has been optimized for search engines, such as the one that we built for Yvonne, begins to appear in search results. And most of the people who run their own companies that I know aren’t content to do nothing for a few months! Because of this, we coordinated the launch of Yvonne’s website and landing page with a savvy plan for her social media presence. This included carefully curating content for her Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn profiles, which emphasized her knowledge, her experience, the services she offers, and her personality. We were able to accomplish this through the use of specialized graphics as well as a wide variety of articles. We have also urged Yvonne to expose herself to as many people and situations as she can, since every time she does, she achieves fantastic achievements. The fifth step is the book. REFRAME, Yvonne’s book, debuted at number one on Amazon’s list of best-selling books in just one day! When you have as much information and wisdom to give as Yvonne does, writing a book is frequently the next step that makes the most sense. This is especially true when you are simultaneously seeking to develop both your business and your following on social media. One of the best methods to really connect with potential customers is through the use of a book. In this respect, it constitutes a valuable component of marketing on its own in its own right. And having a book that is a best seller on its own is a terrific way to establish yourself as an expert in your field (not to mention checking something off the >to do> list!). To begin, I would want to offer Yvonne yet another significant accolade. You can tell that Yvonne understands what she’s talking about when it comes to relationships and communication from the very first page of REFRAME, which is a testament to the author’s dedication to the subject matter. Check out the book REFRAME: How to Change Your Conversations to Resolve Those Messy Conflicts if you feel like you could benefit from a blueprint to improve your communication skills. We strongly encourage that you do so. In addition, selling a book requires a significant amount of work, and this is true even if you have a marketing staff working with you. During the summer prior, we all pulled up our sleeves to promote REFRAME as much as possible, and the results of our efforts were fruitful. Making online videos to promote the debut of the book required Yvonne to step outside of her comfort zone and try something new. First, you probably guessed correctly that we started with a landing page, and we released it before the official launch day. We used it to generate excitement, to familiarize readers with Yvonne, and to persuade readers and other interested parties to sign up for notification updates. We developed a landing page in order to assist with the promotion of REFRAME. Following that, we built a campaign that included unique perks to entice customers to make purchases on the day the product was launched. This includes advertisements on Google and social media platforms for which payment was made, as well as an email campaign, a news release, and additional organic social media. What do we get in the end? Yvonne’s book quickly rose to the top of the best-selling list on Amazon in the category in which it was listed, and she can now confidently refer to herself as a self-published, best-selling author. And it should come as no surprise that REFRAME was given 5 stars! The article on REFRAME that appeared in The Abbotsford News was made possible by the press release that we distributed. You can read the article in this link. Sixth Step: There Is No Cap on Your Potential One of the aspects of my career that I enjoy the most is how much it motivates me thanks to the clients I have. When I consider everything that Yvonne has achieved over the course of the past year, I can’t help but get chills! I am also extraordinarily proud of my staff because they have put in a lot of effort to assist in making Yvonne’s vision a reality. And naturally, the realization of that goal is proceeding apace! We are pleased to stand by our customers during every step of their individual journeys.
