The real story of Lord Ganehsa One of Hinduism’s most well-known deities and ultimate divinity is Lord Ganesha. The son of Lord Shiva and Parvati, Lord Ganesha is regarded as a householder and yogi who resided on Mount Kailash. The Himalayan king’s daughter is the goddess Parvati. There are several names for Lord Ganesha, such as Ganapati, Gajanana, Ekadanta, or Vighnavinashaka. The name “ganesha” originates from two Sanskrit words: “gana,” which means “group and multitude,” and “isha,” which means “lord or master.” Popular in the southern part of India, deity Ganesha is revered as the deity of beginnings and the remover of obstacles. In Sanskrit, the word “buddhi” refers to the personality of wit and intellect, and Lord Ganesha is the lord of learning and letters. Hindus and Buddhists revere Lord Ganesha in India and Nepal. Kartkyena, also known as Subramanya, Skanda, Murugan, and other names, is the younger brother of Lord Ganesha. According to colorful traditions from northern India, Ganesha has two sons named Subha and Labha. According to legend, ridhi and sidhi, who stand for wealth and spiritual strength, respectively, were the spouses of Lord Ganehsa. In Indian art, Lord Ganehsa is shown as a unique figure with four limbs, a protruding belly, and an elephant-like head. Elephant heads had been substituted for Ganesha’s by Lord Shiva. Lord Ganesha appears driving a rat or mouse-riding vahana (vehicle). In the Mudgal Purana, Lord Ganesha is shown as having a broken tusked and is referred to as ekadanta. The most well-known sculptures of Lord Ganesha are found in the Ellora Caves, and they depict the standard imagery of the god. The primary celebration of Lord Ganesha, known as Lord Ganesha’s birthday, is observed annually in late August or early September. All of Lord Ganesha’s followers present the clay idols, which are then submerged in water after 10 days. In addition to offering Lord Ganesha a dish filled with little sweet balls (laddu), red flowers, and other items for devotion, this whole procedure is known as murti viserjan of Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is particularly revered at the start of endeavors like purchasing a new car or starting a company. On this day, everyone rejoiced in a public ceremony and made the plea that king Ganesha is the king of everyone. Lord Ganesha is often positioned at the temple’s entrance and is revered as the goddess Parvati’s doorkeeper. India is home to several temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, such as the Dhundiraj Temple in Varanasi, the Siddhivinayaka Temple in Mumbai, and the Ashtavinayak Temple in Pune. Theur, Lenyadri, Ozar, Ranjangaon, Morgaon, Siddhatek, Pali, Mahad, and Theur are the eight sanctuaries dedicated to Lord Ganehsa. visit www.theganeshaexperience.com to learn more about the life of Lord Ganesha, his books, literature, bhajans, mantra, wallpaper, and other things.
