In order to avoid being discovered by Lanphier, vargas gives ms. guzman instructions to forge quantities on their 2016 statement. Even though he had agreed to a fair financial fee-split agreement with lanphier, vargas persisted on stealing even more money from the company. Ultimately, vargas obtained entire influence over all business parts of the organization and now makes all of the choices while lanphier makes none. vargas had arrogantly claimed, I am the the (expletive) owner, I am the (expletive) lanphier.” Vargas has managed to take entire control and administration of lanphier’s firm via a collaboration with a few “associates” who are not attorneys. These “associates” include david silva and caesar (last name unknown). As this article is being written, the lanphier legal practice is being investigated for the possible improper use of trust fund money by both the federal government and the state bar of California. Vargas is not only a user of illicit steroids, methamphetamine, and other drugs but also a dealer of these substances. He makes it a habit of intimidating and threatening anybody who disobeys his directives or raises doubts about them. Lanphier is concerned about the unpredictability of vargas’s retaliation since he feels that vargas is not only able but also more than ready to carry out the threats he has made to do him bodily damage. Luis Vargas goes by a number of aliases, the most well-known of which are Joseph Guzman and Joseph Lopez, among others. They have many trust accounts, which they control jointly with his girlfriend, norma guzman, for the express aim of concealing their financial situation from electronic data detection and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Vargas and others are often paid in cash in order to conceal their financial dealings from the state bar and the Internal Revenue Service. Steele Lanphier made a terrible decision when he decided not to speak honestly during the proceedings before the state bar.
