My relationship with a guy called Jamie lasted for a considerable amount of time and began many years ago. He was attempting to break ties with a religious community that he had been associated with for the last five years. Before we met, I had absolutely no interest in becoming a part of this group. When I went to the bookshop and picked up one of their leader’s books, my gut instinct would tell me that it was not the right book for me to read. Because I cared for this guy, I decided to pay a visit to the neighborhood and see what was going on there. We saw a video of the leader delivering a speech when we were there, and it was quite interesting. I could feel a tremendous amount of strength and energy emanating from the television as she talked. The video was putting off such a tremendous amount of force when you look at it! After thirty-five years of experience as a massage therapist, I’ve come to the conclusion that I have a highly kinestetic personality. I can “sense” electricity not just with my hands but also with the whole of who I am. I want to make it clear that “energy” (also known as chi, ki, prana, and orgone) is not the same thing as “wuwu.” Instead, “energy” refers to the vital force that maintains our lives. I observed as jamie struggled over the course of time with his decision to break away from the group. Because of his choice, members of the group were bullying and humiliating him in various ways. I had a sneaking suspicion that he was a member of a cult. Jamie was a person who enjoyed listening to classical music. His grandfather had a collection of many thousand classical albums. The idea that you should rapidly repeat positive affirmations over and over again was central to the group’s worldview. The words of the affirmations could no longer be differentiated from one another. Jamie described the sound as being similar to a “buzz saw.” The concepts were deserving of respect, but in addition they were incredibly beguiling. I started to get the impression that someone was controlling his thinking. He was going through mental anguish about his choice as the other members of the group verbally assaulted him continuously. I was really perplexed because, despite just having seen a video of her, I got the impression that this lady has an extraordinary amount of “power.” At the time, I was participating in tai chi, sometimes known as “moving meditation,” and attending lessons once a week. I informed my instructor of tai chi about the problem I was having, and she answered, “You sense her strength because she is strong.” But the question remains: Is she going to use her power for good or for evil? The clarification that I need was provided here. It’s possible for a brilliant leader to exude charm and give the impression that they have complete control over everything, like Jim Jones, Hitler, or Charlie Manson. People have a tendency to believe that a spiritual leader obtains their authority from the great spirit when the leader is a spiritual figure. When you ask yourself if someone is utilizing their power for good causes or wicked activities, you are beginning to exercise discernment. The meanings of the things we see on television and in the movies are being twisted to serve the interests of those in positions of power. There have been hidden signals buried away in the background of what we witness on a daily basis. We are constantly being inundated with communications that do not originate from us. the interpretation, or “spin,” that other people would want you to have on the meaning is being offered here. There is an ancient proverb that goes, “just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean they’re not chasing you,” which essentially means that your fears are not unfounded. Things are not at all what they seem to be. It is common knowledge that strong individuals deceive the general public. Make advantage of the intuitive capacity that God has given you to understand where others are coming from. Make use of your sight to see the works they have produced; “by their works, they are recognized.” Author’s bio for 2017: Merry C.
