Renesa Architecture Design Interiors is proud to present Casa Forma, a property that spans 7200 square feet and is set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Himalayan mountains. The architectural form, which is referred to as “Forma” because it is derived from the flat planes and curved topography of the mountain ranges, unfolds like a horizontal play of staggered spaces, which stands in stark contrast to the vertical peaks that are located in the distance. The property is situated on a terrain that slopes downhill, and it offers unimpeded views to the south. Additionally, it grows, developing expressions via spaces and situations. Through its layered, deconstructed forms, the facade of this building reflects monumentality and solitude. The crisp, horizontal line-play of the facade places focus on the edges, rest, and solidity of the building. In addition to serving as a visual stimulus, the layout of the elevational geometry creates an immediate effect. This configuration also serves to convey balance. These walls of the facade, which seem to be floating and are visibly isolated from the main volume, provide protection, transparency, and aesthetic value. In spite of the fact that this division is primarily concerned with lighting and ventilation, it results in the creation of a stunning architectural rhythm, which has the effect of drawing the eye across the facade that seems to be growing. Strategic voids and open-to-sky corridors that are interspersed with sliding-folding slat-screens serve as windows to the picturesque surroundings, framing vistas and creating photographic memories with the change in light from day to night. The interior layout of this layered architecture is comprised of two programmatic boxes. The spatial layout is designed to maximize flexibility in terms of natural light and ventilation. The ground floor is a more public zone that contains suites, while the top floor is designed to accommodate private areas such as the gym, television, and playrooms in addition to the suites. The inside is dominated by low, solid wood furnishings and spacious circulation areas; each place is separated from the panels and has a distinct impression while yet contributing to the overall harmony. The decoration is understated and long-lasting, and it is in harmony with the architectural language used. Temporality is thus seen in a rhythmic manner as the spaces attest for both a physical and metaphysical dynamism. This is because nature, humans, and the built form engage in participatory conversations, which are both changing and vivifying in nature. Through the implementation of this project, Renesa acknowledges the significance of green pockets and air corridors, as well as the spatial dynamic and the role that these elements play in architectural design, particularly within the context of the Himalayan foothills, which is a rich and abundant environment.
