This is Los Angeles. The term “occupy mars” was really coined by André Gray, a brilliant innovator, on September 18, 2011. It was a spoof of the “occupy wall street” campaign, which had formally begun the day before, on September 17, 2011, and was trending on social media at the time. Also, on a more serious note, he made it very obvious that his motto “occupy Mars” is an ambitious global calling card for the exploration of the solar system, the cosmos, and maybe the multiverse. After conducting a brief computer forensics investigation, it was determined that André Gray was the person responsible for the deletion of numerous of his pseudonymous Facebook and Twitter accounts. Since then, the movement known as “occupy mars” has given rise to a cottage economy filled with several internet retailers offering a wide variety of things, including mugs, t-shirts, posters, hoodies, and many more. In addition, the phrase “occupy Mars” has been adopted by almost every space exploration program throughout the globe, regardless of whether it is supported by the government or commercially. Elon Musk and his SpaceX firm have been particularly early adopters of this slogan. From the earliest philosophers to the physicists, biologists, and astronomers of today, individuals have been explorers of truth throughout the history of human civilization. The greatest achievements of human civilization have been born out of an innate desire to explore and seek out the truth in the unknown. The first thing that we did was explore the world before we become explorers of the truth. We developed methods for overcoming obstacles, such as transporting sufficient food and water, to make a ship a traveling island unto itself. This was accomplished through persistence and an evolved, tool-centric mind. It is possible that our primitive ancestors believed that continents that were separated by seas were planets in their own right. The bounds of mental research have always been pushed farther by physical investigation; the more we go and the further we look, the greater our development and the more astonishing the facts that we uncover are. It is true that the planet is an incredible location; yet, a significant number of people have the tendency to assume that this is the only place we are meant to have and live. The cosmos is an even more incredible location. Home is the place where the human heart beats, even the place where it yearns to beat. The human world exists wherever people are now located. Why is it sufficient to just refer to the globe as our world? Take over Mars—not in the future century, but right now. Take control of Mars for the sake of your own and your children’s future; occupy Mars for the sake of your own financial security; occupy Mars in order to save the earth; occupy Mars in order to bring the entire world together under a single peaceful cause; and most importantly, occupy Mars in order to push the limits of human capacity for both social and technological advancement.
