Mayor Martin J. Walsh is the one who came up with the idea for the Roxbury Innovation Center, which is located on the second level of the building. The design that was created by mecanoo and sasaki is an embodiment of the city’s concept of a symbol of change that is freely available to everybody. It is a celebration of the history of Roxbury and the beginning of a new era for the neighborhood.
