In summary, we see another reason why the Bible is the best-selling book of all time: governments are becoming the ferocious animals of prey that Daniel predicted, losing control over the people they rule. That history aligns with the biblical picture of those kingdoms symbolized by the four beasts in Daniel’s prophecy. One item on the papal agenda is gun regulation. Although weapons have protected our country from tyranny, martial law might lead to a global government headed by the pope. This leads us to the symbolic image seen inRevelation 17: a woman riding the beast of the new global system, controlling and guiding it.
