Bangalore’s newest microbrewery, known as “district 6,” has opened its doors with the intention of appealing to a certain, carefully-honed taste profile… There was a period when Bangalore was the center of the culture around bars and pubs. Today, it seems to have reimagined the same drink-loving exercise by means of its dark and trendy crowd-pullers, which are breweries. depending on the number of guests, freshly brewed beer may be purchased by the glass, the pint, the keg, or the barrel. The newest one, known as “district 6,” is located in the sheraton hotel in Bangalore’s uptown rajajinagar neighborhood. It opened its doors earlier this month. In order to create an atmosphere that is just as richly hued as the brew itself, the drinking hole and café in question has polished metallic surfaces contrasted against rough-textured interior finish materials. Designed by Masafumi Sanada of M-Style Inc., located in Tokyo, the space has a mostly industrial feel to it. There are exposed air-conditioning ducts, linear groupings of utility cabling, and extra wooden pieces to accentuate the already-busy coffered slab above. Below, seats may be found in one of six unique areas, each of which is indicated by its own name: the brew tank area, the beer tank area, the dining area, the alfresco area, the front kitchen, and the pdr area (private dining room). upholstered in leatherette, deep couches, seats, and bar stools with exposed peripheral stitching, and a selection of German imports including beer storage and brew tanks all contribute to the needed masculinity of the space. The uniquely designed spaces are brought together using a color and texture palette that is consistent throughout. Old oak wood, exposed brick, and sleeper wood compete for the viewer’s eye among shining copper pipes and kegs. Log wood created cladding patterns and walls consisting of stacked-up 300 × 300 railroad tie-timber pieces help to provide diversity in design. private, semi-private, and alfresco sitting are provided to suit to different tastes, with the goal of ensuring that all seating places are within the eyes of the big symbolic brew tanks that are positioned in the center of the restaurant-bar.
