Ar. Kapil Aggarwal of spaces architects chisels out a large farmhouse on a site that is 2.5 acres in size in south Delhi. He does this by communicating via a dynamic spatial language. The vast and sumptuous habitat is a beautiful exercise in exposing the interior to the natural environment that surrounds it and creating a perfect connection between the two. “An effort to generate diverse architectural compositions from all angles,” the architect said of the two-story building that has a foyer that is twice as tall as the rest of the building. As a result, we have this contemporary architectural property that is situated at the back end of a rectangular site, and it has the space for both a huge pool and a front garden. The building blocks are arranged in a manner that is perpendicular to the plot, which juxtaposes the spatial arrangement in an L-shape. They extend on each side of the pool, creating an atmosphere that is bigger than life. The language is entirely architectural, with a material palette consisting of a zinc frontage that stands out, rough indian stone cladding, back-lit glass, clear glass, and wood. These materials are fashioned into straight-lined forms, spacious right angles, transparency, and an air of very chic understatement. Despite being essentially divided into two components, one of which faces the front and side and the other of which faces the pool area, the house is open on all sides and has enormous glass panels that let in a great deal of natural light and establish the equation between the inside and the outdoors. As a result of the prevalence of a minimalist and clean approach to furniture and decor, the eye is naturally trained to accommodate luxurious indulgence. On the ground floor, the private and semi-private spaces include the lobby, drawing, dining, two bedrooms, and a bar area. Additionally, there is a home office located on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms, including the master bedroom, as well as the home theater and the gym. The views of the pool from the first floor are breathtaking. In addition to a stairway that is remarkably devoid of stairs, the two floors are connected by a glass elevator that is surrounded by an indoor body of water. Every single frame, every single composition of the many regions, is pieced together frame by frame, giving off a powerful sense of belonging from beginning to end. The spaces flow into each other, which is intended to endorse the different spatial experiences that are intended to be experienced. For instance, one enters through tall entrance doors that are located under a cantilevered entrance block, into a lobby that is double-height; the family lounge connects to the kitchen, which has approach from the dining area, and to the bar area at the end; steps lead to the terrace garden that is located above the gym and extends into a party space… as well as similar things. As the light of the day shifts, the spaces undergo transformations, resulting in pockets of surprise and further sensory fascination.
