Although it may be unsettling to see recruiting software taking over tasks that were previously yours, it is important to remember that even the most advanced technology has its limits. The recruiter may undergo a transformation, but they will not disappear. There is a possibility that the recruiter of the future may become more of a salesman, marketing the employer brand and open positions to individuals who are actively looking for work as well as those who are not working. It is important to remember that this is yet another ability that a human person, and not a computer, is the most equipped to do. Whatever recruitment software your company decides to invest in, it will most likely play a role in accelerating the hiring process. This can be accomplished by taking on research tasks, sorting through resumes, and making use of other helpful technology such as video. This can happen either right now or in the years to come. However, it will very probably not be able to make your final employment selections for you, at least that is what we hope it won’t do! You will be able to increase the likelihood of your organization discovering, engaging, and employing the absolute best possible workers if you combine the use of recruiters with technology.
