The newly finished ARV customer services office in Valencia, which was designed by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos, is a symphony in white, with shapes and patterns in grey and black dispersed throughout. A calculated geometry with sharp bends and structural features is utilized to advantage in this commercial complex, which is located in the middle of the city. This geometry is employed to convey consumers and staff to a monochromatic world of straight lines that compose clean and distinct areas. Orthogonal geometries are used to facilitate the regularization of the labyrinthine pattern. The experience of climbing the main staircase, which leads to the conference rooms and offices located on the top level, is in and of itself a sublime endeavor. You are instantly surrounded by stark white walls as soon as you walk up through a frame, and ascending up the white stairs seems like you are traveling to another universe. Each room is finished off with a directed ceiling that matches the color and lines of the spaces below it. Recessed lighting that compliments the general geometric patterns contributes to the overall aesthetic. The lighting strips not only provide ambient lighting for the whole workplace but also serve as a kind of signage that can be used to describe the different regions of the building. An intensified color palette, optical illusions, and practical spaces cut out of crisp geometries are among of the elements that cause intrigue and interest in the almost surgical ARV offices.
