A school president and a chancellor were essentially removed from their positions by students at Yale and the University of Missouri, all in the name of political correctness and liberal concepts of a fantasy zone where students may feel “secure.” The United States of America’s darlings of academia, the ranting royal reprobates of ridiculousness, are vying for a feeling of safety while Iran is building nuclear weapons, ISIS is severing heads, Paris was under terrorist attack just a few hours ago, and Europe is on the verge of war. All of this is happening while the continent is on the verge of war. A generation after Woodstock, the liberal notions of the fantasy utopia where whale calls have finally been interpreted and the lovey-dovey dreams of diversity have finally bloomed; political correctness has at last spawned the militant arm of Royal PC Rangers who have made large circles where reporters, administrators, instructors and chancellors are forbidden. The sanctuary of the inner circle is a place where reality and any semblance of true intellect are implicitly prohibited from entering. As the PC leaders and their sycophantic legions of Yale and Mizzou brats have chosen to become dictatorial and confrontational all at the same time, deans and students have been scrambling to avoid offending the PC leaders. This has caused them to flee for cover. Stalinism, Nazism, and fascism are all mixed into one when it comes to liberalism that makes use of an army. It is possible that the touchy-feely chickens of pansy liberalism have finally come home to roost, but for the professors who have presented students with PC pabulum for a complete generation, it may be the only thing that has happened. It is what the author J. Matt Barber refers to as “Progressitopia,” which is a fantastical land where the young can live out their wildest dreams, even if only for a brief and fleeting moment, before all hell breaks loose and a nation that is on its way to perdition implodes, then explodes into little pieces. Because the Frankenstein of the great national gap is about to emerge, the cries of “it’s alive, it’s alive” will only last for a short time; nonetheless, why should we deny the darlings their moment? Donald Trump, who is not one of my favorites in this world, takes a direct approach to the offensive rhetoric of the University of Missouri and says that it is “disgusting.” Not only has Trump demonstrated that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, but he has also earned three cheers from me. Students who are having dangerous cogitations of the heart at Mizzou and Yale can find that moving to colleges in Colorado helps them feel differently about their situation. By taking lengthy drags from a joint the size of a cigar that is packed with cannabis, one might alleviate feelings of paranoia and discomfort. After that, medications that induce bravery would make their way beneath, around, and through the central nervous systems of the troubled and suspicious infants in order to soothe them. Oh, the horror! I neglected to mention that marijuana causes paranoia. An other resolution may be to travel and hide in a remote location, high up, at a mountain monastery that is known for its strict adherence to quiet. There is a possibility that the cloister will assist in clearing away the clutter and alleviating the lethal worries that are brought on by a contemporary education and the need of listening to someone who genuinely has the courage to voice their thoughts. In addition to Trump, the Federalist.com website published an essay that took the most straightforward approach, and the title of the piece seemed to explain everything. Robert Tracinski, a contributor to the federalist movement, penned an essay with the headline “Mizzou and Yale Show Why It’s Time to Burn Universities to the Ground” not long after Tim Wolfe resigned from his position as President of the University of Missouri. Fine, Bob! Is it really that easy to understand? Are you ready for the solution to the burning issue of how to cope with the fear of free speech? The answer is blazing. Innovative! The vice president of the Missouri Students Association, Brenda Smith Lezama, who rhymes with Obama, declared on MSNBC that the liberties guaranteed by the First Amendment had resulted in a “hostile and hazardous” atmosphere at the school. On and around the time when the majority of Americans commemorate Veterans Day, students in the state of Missouri have began their struggle against free speech as a “hostile” factor in their academic life. This is an unsettling coincidence. Let’s take it easy by landing here, shall we? Those veterans and their fallen comrades were subjected to the most hostile and unsafe environment that this world has ever produced. This environment allowed us, the students of the University of Missouri, to say whatever we wanted, whether it was inside or outside of the safe circle of touchy-feely people. Students at the University of Missouri have everything paid for for them by grants and loans from the government, or by their father’s money. Our troops fought for the right to free speech with their own blood. Would you want to feel really secure at Mizzou? The humble reminders of darn good Americans who were killed but not forgotten are scattered across the landscape like the early gentle flakes of the first snow. Reconvene your little circle among the vast rows of crosses and stones at our national cemeteries or the endless markers in Flanders’ Field and on the rolling soft hills of Normandy. These are the places where you can find these reminders. The price of free expression is non-negotiable; it is much too expensive for kids who are economically disadvantaged and who experience a sense of anxiety; nonetheless, it is priceless. Finally, the one who came into this world to save us from the shackles of sin and death stated, “If the Son then should set you free, you shall be free truly.” (6:36 of John) At the University of Missouri, would he be permitted to enter the circle of safety? Although it is possible that he might be permitted to enter, it is very probable that he would not do so. This is because he is aware, as we should all be aware, that the circle that we form about ourselves for the sake of protection increases the risk that it will become our jail. When it comes to thoughts, ideas, faith, and constructive and healthy conversation, it is possible that this is the very last location where they will ever be seen or heard from again. What’s up, Missouri? You are capable of doing better, Yale. Since the year 2005, Michael Bresciani has been serving as the publisher of American Prophet.org.
