He has trampled out the harvest where the grapes of wrath are kept; He has let loose the tragic lightning of His awful fast sword: it is the splendor of the advent of the Lord that I have seen with my own eyes. He is making progress toward his truth – Julia Ward Howe, in the year 1861 It was in the year 1861 that Julia Howe arose at the early light of day to begin writing the verses that would later become known as the Battle Hymn of the Republic. However, the words appeared to pour down through the old shred of a pencil that she discovered the day before, and she noted that she did not take any thought into it. Inspired by the singing of Union troops who were roaming about their camps and sang with such fervor, despite the fact that the only lyrics they had were the unconsolatory words of John Brown’s corpse lying in the grave, they were able to find inspiration in their song. She provided the troops a picture of a more directed and lofty attitude via her gift of poetry and pentameter. Howe saw the shape of patriotism without form and elegance, and she gave it to them. Now, 300 million people in the United States are on the verge of being enslaved once again, despite the fact that a half million lives were sacrificed in an effort to end the scourge of slavery. The concept of freedom has been twisted so severely by liberalism, Barack Obama, and a generation of Americans who have been prepared for a long time by godless academics, loose liberals, and corrupt politicians. As a result, the right to do anything, regardless of how twisted, perverted, or harmful it may be to others, has become what they now perceive to be freedom. All we have to do is take a quick look around the social landscape of the United States to see unchecked addictions to things like lust, perversion, indecency, drugs, materialism, and a lack of faith in God. In the event that Julia Howe were still living today, it is not difficult to conceive of the possibility that she would not have written about “the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps.” A nation that is so confused in its proclivity toward perversion that the most contentious debate in the world today is whether or not our rights actually come from God, as the founders have so clearly stated, may very well be the target of her imagination. She may very well imagine the fires of hell creeping up from beneath. There is a supreme court judge who is openly gay and another who is not, but has officiated in a “gay marriage.” In contrast to Shakespeare’s “a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing,” this story signifies the most backward and wholesale perverted time for any nation in the history of the world. In a day when media moguls are tormenting the consciences of Americans with garbage like “Fifty Shades of Grey,” this story is reflected in the backdrop. At the time that this article was being written, it was these “Justices” who had, up to this point, refused to recuse themselves from taking part in the debate on whether or not “gay” or “perverted marriage” legalization should be implemented throughout the country. Despite the fact that conservatives and patriots are coming together for a comeback of America’s grandeur in the electoral battles of 2016, it is this that casts a shadow on the authoritative counsel of the living God. Without righteousness, greatness will not return; however, given that over forty years of opposition to Roe v. Wade has not been successful in putting an end to the slaughter of innocent people, the likelihood that any law that permits “gay marriage” will be overturned before the return of the Lord is nil. It is my respect for all of our patriots, both from the past and from the present, that compels me to issue a vehement warning with all the gravity that if these laws are changed to allow perversion to become the law of the land, then the pollution and decline of our once great nation will be exacerbated. There is no amount of lobbying that will be sufficient in 2016 to put a stop to the judgments of God, which will come at the appropriate moment. The “transformation” that Barack Obama has undergone will eventually be ready for harvesting, but the commodity that is collected is poisonous. It is said that “And he shall talk strong things against the most High, and shall tire out the saints of the most High, and shall seek to alter periods and laws; and they shall be handed into his hand till a time and times and the division of time.” The date is Da 7:25. There is no difference in the actions taken by any of the antichrist’s predecessors or kinds. They used the promise of a new movement, a 1000-year Reich, or a “transformation” to distort laws, traditions, and mores in order to achieve their goals. In every instance, the countries who fell for the bait will ultimately be the ones to suffer the consequences. They became captives to their own bad compunction and ceased to be anything other than a crumbling substance of the past as their influence faded into oblivion. Those who did not instantly fall were slaves to their own evil compunction. Is it possible that the blood of those who gave their lives to put an end to slavery would cry out against this generation for its thoughtless descent into reproach and corruption, and that this will eventually come to a stop? Surprisingly, in a way that was almost prophetic, Julia Ward Howe seems to have addressed and answered that issue in its entirety in the last stanza of her stirring song. Our God is marching on Whose slave should we be? He is coming like the splendor of the dawn on the wave; He is wisdom to the great; He is honor to the courageous; This means that the earth will be His footstool, and the soul of the wrong will be His slave.
