We would like to extend our most sincere congratulations to Ar. Sanjay Puri for bringing the Indian Architectural Community to the forefront of the international stage. His contributions to the field of architecture are very admirable, as is the fact that he was awarded the “Overall Award” for a building that was going to be constructed. May he continue to improve from strength to strength. In every region of the world, design and difficulty go hand in hand. In the process of deciphering a project in Japan, France, or even here in India, we find that there is a similar thread that lies underneath the fundamental principles of design. Take, for example, the Sky Courts project by Ar. Sanjay Puri or the White Tree project by OXO Architects; all of these projects have underlying commonalities in the way they approach design. Another project that teaches a valuable lesson about humanity is the conservation and landscaping that is being done at the Bijolai Palace hotel and resort. Both the flagship trademark fashion line and the cozy spa are instances of rooted identities. The other two ventures are also examples of rooted identities. I’ll leave you to enjoy your reading on your own. Warmly, In order to see photos, Savitha Hira newsletter.indiaartndesign.com
