According to this author, the person who is most likely to bring problems for a serious student of prophecy is the person who is a prophetic geek. It is not open to the hobbyist or the wild speculations of every newbie who decides to jump into the eschatological discipline and make predictions, prognostications, and a lot of guesswork. Prophecy fills approximately one third of the entire Bible, but it is a very serious matter that is not open to the hobbyist. It is the new movements, cults, and those who designate dates that inflict the greatest harm. This is due to the fact that their statements and movements come and go, which gives the skeptics more confidence and disappoints the people who really believe in them. There was a prophetic calling placed upon my life many years ago, after I had been pastoring for a number of years. My understanding of the importance of that calling did not come to me until today. Nevertheless, despite this, I have long since realized that no prophet, pastor, or evangelist can be regarded seriously if they are presenting anything that is in direct opposition to the scriptures. Even if there are certain things that are more subtle than others, the text is quite apparent. In response to the hoopla surrounding the blood moon tetrads and the individuals who champion their significance, the following are a few points to consider. It would be more appropriate for me to call on anybody to use the text to understand the scripture rather than to build an argument for or against them. If one aspect is stressed to the exclusion of another, it is you who have given in to a mistake, and it is possible that you are participating in a ministry that is not in accordance with the truth. The following is a brief list; nonetheless, it is imperative that you conduct your research, just like the Bereans did, and compare the scriptures to one another. “And the brothers quickly sent Paul and Silas to Berea by night, and they proceeded to the synagogue of the Jews when they arrived there,” the Bible says. These individuals were more virtuous than those who lived in Thessalonica because they accepted the message with completely open minds and investigated the scriptures on a daily basis to determine whether or not those things were true. Revelation 17:10, 11 It is not necessary for you to wear a prayer shawl or any other article of clothing in order to pray. (5th verse of Matthew) • According to the doctrine of replacement theology, the church has not yet replaced the Jews in God’s sight, and God has promised that the remnant of Israel will be rescued at some point in the future. • As we go closer to the end and concluding days of history as we know it, it would be a grave mistake to minimize or eradicate the teachings of the Apostle Paul. This would not gain the favor of God for anybody, but it would be particularly extremely problematic at this time. • That which is antithetical to the favor of God and that which is to be rejected in its whole is to lead Christians back to the Torah and to bring them under the law once again. This is not only an excursion that is wrong by a few degrees; rather, it is a major blunder. Beware! It is possible that the blood moon tetrads have some importance for the Jewish people; nevertheless, they are not directly connected to the predictions found in the Bible. These astronomical occurrences are able to be found by the use of common science and mathematics. As an extravagance that borders on the practice of astrology, using them to make predictions about anything is a waste of time. Astrological predictions are not permitted for any believer, whether they are from the past, the present, or the future. Deuteronomy 18:10–14 Those who sell books have benefited from the excitement that has been created by the blood red moons. In a video that I saw not too long ago, a well-known preacher spent a considerable amount of time promoting his collection of books, CDs, and study guides on the blood moons. He sold all of these items at an excessive price, which caused me to feel uneasy. Predictions made by God are not available for purchase. They are readily available to all in the pages of writ and anyone selling the latest new twist on them may be subject to great scrutiny in the last days, to wit: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And a great number of people will follow their destructive methods; as a result of whom, the path of truth will be referred to in a negative manner. And by covetousness, they will create commerce out of you with counterfeit words; their judgment will not linger anymore for a long time, and their damnation will not sleep as they sleep. (2 Peter 2:1-3) There are two more things that need to be said about the blood moons. To begin, the blood moon that is mentioned in the Bible and is closely associated with the coming back of the Lord Jesus Christ is not even remotely possible to be the impending tetrads for the most apparent of reasons. The blood red moon that is associated with the coming of Christ is accompanied by an earthquake, a total shrouding or blockage of the sun, and the entire blocking out of the stars (Joel 3:15). This is then followed by the sounding of trumpets and the last judgments. Rather than being astronomical occurrences that can be predicted by any scientist or astronomer, they are actions of God that are purely interventional and will take place at an undefined point in the future. There will be no passing tetrad here; they will be finished with the sign of Christ coming in the sky for the whole world to witness. It is said that immediately after the tribulation that occurred during those days, the sun will go black, the moon will not give her light, the stars will fall from heaven, and the forces that govern the skies will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven; and then all the nations of the earth will be in mourning; and then they will see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with great power and wonderful glory. And he will dispatch his angels with a loud sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his beloved from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Revelation 24:29–31 It is certain that Ezekiel’s battle, in which a large confederated coalition consisting of Russia and Arab countries attacks Israel (with little success), is not close at hand; yet, this does not qualify the tetrads as authentic indications of prophecy. To continue, I am conscious of the fact that not everyone subscribes to the concept that God continues to use prophets in the scheme of things in the present day. It is sufficient to say that if you believe in prophets in today’s world, why would you go to the booksellers, the debaters, and the prophecy buffs for an answer to anything? I have heard all of the arguments, and I have seen both true and false prophets struggling to present themselves and their work. I have seen both of these things. The question is, why wouldn’t you go straight to a prophet? The only thing that God did was issue a summons to announce that he was very soon going to return to our troubled planet and restore it into a complete and full restoration of his original purpose. He did not ask me to spend my days trying to persuade the world of my calling. In spite of the fact that I am not soliciting followers or disciples and that I am not selling anything, I will not stop proclaiming what I have seen and heard. When it comes to this, I share Paul’s patriotism. In spite of the fact that I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about; for the burden of necessity has been placed upon me; therefore, if I do not preach the gospel, then woe is to me! Revelation 9:16 According to one of Paul’s sayings, “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for the sake of Jesus,” my purpose and all scrutiny from other people is covered by this saying. It is my standard, my defense, and the course that is set before me until the end of my feeble life. (2 Corinthians 4: 5) A piece of writing that can be found on the website “Now the End Begins” and titled “The Coming Four Blood Moons Will Likely Not Fulfill Bible Prophecy” is something that I would recommend reading for additional information.
