As President Barack Obama continues to promote his peace plan with Iran to the general public, Pastor Saeed Abedini continues to languish in an Iranian jail at a time when his health is deteriorating. Although the centrifuges have slowed down, the deceit is on the increase as the most recent foreign policy farce that President Obama has enacted is being hailed as the greatest agreement with Iran in a decade. The country as a whole, as well as those who represent Saeed Abedini, Jay Sekulow from the American Center for Law and Justice, and Pastor Saeed’s wife and children, have all been disregarded as if they were of no greater significance to Barack Obama than a few good soldiers and an ambassador to Benghazi. In light of the fact that Obama has been making a number of pronouncements about how he and Kerry have created history together, the awful disaster that is known as ObamaCare has been alleviated or at the very least toned down. Saeed was taken into custody because he attempted to establish an orphanage in Iran and for providing financial assistance to home-based Christian congregations between the years 2000 and 2005. Practicing his Christian beliefs is the only offense he has committed. If President Obama were to push for his release, we can only speculate on whether or not he was a Muslim. A growing number of people are coming to the realization that individuals who assert that Barack Obama is a self-centered borderline narcissist are not exaggerating their claims in order to make their point. At the same time as the screams of Saeed’s children are heard on a daily basis in the Abedini family, Iran is undoubtedly smiling at Obama’s apparent lack of intelligence. It has been stated by Naghmeh Abedini, Saeed’s wife, that his children are pleading with him more than they ever have before, and that they are set to experience again another Christmas without their father being there. According to a story that was published by Fox News on November 26, 2013, Saeed’s name was never brought up during the meeting that took place between John Kerry and Iranian officials. It seems that President Obama’s efforts to strike a deal with a regime that has pledged death to all Americans are nothing more than utter folly coming from a man who has not accomplished anything of significance for our country since he entered office. In place of any leadership with some backbone and at least a tacit demonstration of caring for American people, he is now tossing good American citizens to Saudi Kings. This is in contrast to the fact that he would have offered to kneel down to Saudi Kings. According to Jay Sekulow, who is quoted in a Fox News article, President Obama has clearly “betrayed” Pastor Abedini in order to gain some recognition from a foreign policy move that has not resulted in any positive outcomes for the United States or Israel. This move also enables Iran to lift the burden of severe sanctions without incurring any additional costs. Today, November 26, 2013, the Christian Defense Coalition is hosting a prayer vigil. The event is organized by the Christian Defense Coalition. In a statement that was published in Canada Free Press, Reverend Patrick J. Mahoney is quoted as saying, “As we gather as a witness for justice and human rights in front of the White House, we will be asking President Obama to personally and publicly call for the release of Pastor Saeed and to reach out to his family in support and encouragement.” The fact that the president has remained silent on this matter has not been beneficial to Pastor Saeed or to the cause of religious freedom all throughout the globe. The decision to divert attention away from the ObamaCare disaster and to save face for an otherwise miserable showing as commander in chief may appear to be a pretty shrewd move for a president who does not have much to brag about. However, for many Americans, many Christians, and ministers of the gospel, leaving Pastor Saeed behind without a word from Obama is an act of self-centered cowardice. It is true that we have always anticipated that our president would use the power that comes with his position to advocate for us, and we will continue to do so. We are feeling guilt for Mr. Obama’s desertion of yet another fine American person to the same extent that he is displaying his satisfaction for his false and erratic accomplishment in the realm of foreign policy. This president, who claims that he is a Christian, has maybe never taken the time to study these words that were delivered by the great prophet Isaiah. Learn how to do right; seek judgment, help those who are oppressed, judge those who are fatherless, and argue for those who are widowed.
