During that time, I was able to determine what methods of teaching were effective for him and which ones were not. Previously, he participated in a homeschooling program offered by a local cooperative, and now he is completely independent in a public school environment. The program encourages youngsters to develop a sense of self-assurance and become organically driven by putting an emphasis on play, discovery, and positive reinforcement. It is particularly useful for special education, homeschooling, and the development of english language skills (eld, ell, esl).
