The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch was a painting that followed the tradition of the Northern Renaissance period. It was filled with a riot of colors and depicted the elements in great detail inside the painting. It had a strong secular focus, despite the fact that it was based on a concept from the Bible. When we look at the vibrant landscape and the brilliant things, we cannot help but applaud them. This replica of an oil painting had a wide range of unusual flora and wildlife for the viewer to admire. The dracaena tree, which had branches in the form of swords and was surrounded by vines, was located in the top portion of it. At that time, people thought that the crimson juice of the dracaena plant had the ability to cure them magically. Since grapes are a symbol of wine, they were also considered to be a metaphor for the blood of Christ. In the top right hand corner of the center pool, there was a jujube tree that seemed to be wrapping itself around a deadly snake that was black in color. Several repulsive animals, such as snakes, were seen crawling out of the water and making their way to the base of the tree. There is a pink live fountain in the middle of it, and the hue of the fountain mimics the color of the robe that Christ wore. There is something quite peculiar about the design of this fountain. Its color and texture are comparable to those of a crab, which is a symbol of the moon and is considered to be a source of power for alchemists in astrology. On top of that, the base of the fountain had a great number of valuable stones, and there were a great number of birds perched on the home. There is a dark hole in the middle of the circular base of the fountain, and if we look more closely, we may be able to see an owl peering out from inside it. In the legends of the Netherlands, the owl is a representation of the man who fiercely fought the will of God or turned a blind eye to the darkness that exists in this world. It is a sign of foolishness and wickedness. There were a number of exotic animals that could be seen in the backdrop of The Garden of Earthly Delights. Some of these animals were giraffes and elephants. Based on the documents of his time, it is possible that Bosch was familiar with these creatures. In spite of the fact that Eden seems to be completely serene, the conflict between sin and holiness has already started.
