During the judging procedure in the United States, exhibits are ranked against one another and awarded one first place, one second place, and so on. During the judging process in Denmark, each exhibit is evaluated based on its own merits in comparison to the scorecard or recognized standard, and the judges give as many first places, medals, and other prizes as are required. All submissions must be submitted to the Fair by the deadline, and they may be submitted either online, via the mail, or in person at the Fair Administration office located at 2004 Fairground Road in Monterey. Entry costs must also be paid.
