SINGER AND MUSICIAN LAEL SUMMER IS SOMEONE WHO SHOULD NOT BE MISSED.

When someone shows me anything or someone new, particularly in the arts, the first thing that comes to mind is a lyric from an old Eric Clapton song that goes as follows: “don’t show me anything new….i’ve seen it all before.” Even if I spend a significant amount of time in that jaded area, at least I am aware of it. This is a positive aspect in certain respects. It prevents me from “liking everything in the arts” or from fooling myself into believing that I did, which was the basis of my ideology. It had been 28 years since I first began working in the field of arts and literature. When I first became aware of Lael, the only thing I knew about her was from a little biography that I had read. She was born in New York City and reared there. That was enjoyable, but it doesn’t convince me that I’ll like her music even if I listen to it.
