Architects kruti and vipul sukhadia of sharan architecture + design designed a unique office space for coolline agency, which is a sales and service dealer for air conditioning equipment. The 2700 square foot office is distinguished by a corporate identity that is simple but classy, and it was built to foster a vibrant working environment. The office is situated in a bustling part of Surat City. Despite having an open floor layout, the workplace is effectively divided into the necessary departments and workstations. Hierarchy is maintained by the use of varying levels of size and atmosphere at each workstation. The workplace is designed to accommodate a variety of work styles, from more traditional settings such as the conference room and the offices of the directors and accountants to livelier areas that encourage creative thinking and workstations that are well lighted. Customers and visitors are given a glimpse into the inner workings of an air conditioning system thanks to the exposed copper pipes that are a part of the air conditioning system that is used in the building, which is an interesting feature given that the business is a dealer in air conditioning systems. A notable contrast can be seen between the high-end material palette used throughout the area and the ducting and air conditioning equipment that is visible. A feeling of coziness may be achieved by combining veneer and natural wood in dark tones with metal with a matte surface that is sharp in contrast. The gray ceiling tiles and beige terrazzo flooring provide a contrast that helps to keep the black veneer on the furniture and walls at eye level looking balanced. The area has a feeling of flair thanks to components such as the copper pipe staircase railing and door knobs, which provide an element of eccentricity while also giving the space a sense of style. Colorful furniture and graphics placed around the space offer a depth of play to the overall design. An artwork called “our global footprint” brings life to the central office zone by depicting a globe map made up of various sized copper pipes in a variety of configurations. Because it depicts the worldwide reach of the brand and places it on a map, the piece of artwork serves as a tool that both customers and workers can use to feel a sense of pride in the company and be inspired to work harder. Both the workers’ productivity and their overall well-being may benefit from using a human-centered approach to the color palette and the lighting design. The workplace has an energizing and dynamic vibe, which is accentuated by the creative usage of light fixtures, which exemplifies a highly contemporary approach.
