Once again, it’s that time of year! Memorial Day is almost approaching. There’s never been a finer weekend to light up the grill, spend time with your close relatives, and enjoy the first summer breeze. With swimming areas restricted and events postponed, this year may seem quite different. However, there’s always time and room for a traditional Memorial Day picnic in the fairy garden! Your fairy garden’s inhabitants will be ready for a grand celebration with a few well picked little accents. Where should your barbecue be held? Depending on the little garden, yes. Maybe there’s a fairy in the backyard who’s eager to share. Is a swimming pool present? better still! Or maybe everyone’s buddies from the fairy garden might meet at the lake or the sea. Everybody enjoys a good beach party. A little sand will do the trick. Real water, pebbles, blue glass, or any other artificial water of your choosing may all be used to create a water feature. Refreshments are essential to any excellent barbecue. A traditional barbecue menu may include everything from meals prepared on a charcoal grill to a bucket of ice-cold drinks. The air is filled with the scent of smoke. You can hear the crunch! of potato chips and the snap of freshly opened drink cans wherever you look. Indeed, a barbecue has distinctive sights, noises, and scents all its own. In addition to filling some fairy stomachs, little water bottles, fruit, or tiny bags of chips assist create the atmosphere. Use picnic tables to present the food. You may also use leftover colored fabric to make your own tablecloths. Cookouts could be made with food, but a true party is made with other activities. Canoes, flip flops, and fishing equipment are useful for lakeside gatherings, while a beach party wouldn’t be complete without an inflatable float and a volleyball net. You may set up a tire swing, a slide, or other playground equipment for the little fairies. Imagine basketballs and bicycles strewn all over the little backyard. Perhaps a new dog brought by a barbecue guest wanted to meet the fairy buddies! If nothing else, you could see a little squirrel or rabbit lurking beneath the tiny trees in the hopes of finding some leftovers. This Memorial Day BBQ in the small garden may go hours, even into the dark, if it’s anything like its real-life equivalents. You’ll want to fill the bucket with drinks, switch on the string lights, and prepare for the fairies to play and chat late into the night as dusk sets over the red, white, and blue bunting and flags. The campfire may be extinguished after the little grill has cooled down. Perfect for cooking tiny hotdogs and setting the mood for the evening. It just takes a few glow-in-the-dark accents or battery-operated lights to create a stunning miniature garden setting that guests will love for years to come. I hope a fairy garden party might evoke fond memories and lift your spirits, even if this may not be the year for a real memorial day barbecue or weekend get-together. Have fun! To create lovely small landscapes for containers or your yard, miniature gardening provides dollhouse furniture, fairies, garden equipment, and fairy houses. The imaginative fairy garden created by miniature gardening and storytelling bring out the childlike spirit in all of us. Every small miniature gardening scene you design is a picture of a fantasy that is full of mystery and intrigue.
