What comes to mind when you hear the word farmhouse? Perhaps you can’t help but think about your early years spent on the farm, rushing up the porch steps into a large, spacious house that was full of love and light. Or maybe you see meals being served around a large table, well-worn carpets on hardwood floors, and rustic furnishings. There is no right or wrong way to imagine a farmhouse, and there is a wide range of concepts and uses in terms of farmhouse style. Generally speaking, farmhouse style tends to have some of the following characteristics: Warm, comfortable, and peaceful -steel, wood, and other durable materials -weathered, rustic, and lived-in finishes -easygoing, carefree, and at ease Is it possible to apply farmhouse style to a little garden? Naturally, of course! If you’re going for a farmhouse look when creating your interiors, a fairy garden or little garden would look great in the kitchen, living room, mud room, or bedroom. You should take into account materials like cement, terra cotta, galvanized tin, wooden boxes, metal trays, ceramic pitchers, and painted mason jars when selecting containers for your tiny garden and other houseplants. Reclaimed trunks, chairs, stools, and ladders may be utilized to raise pots and showcase little plantings. Repurposing a two or three-level tray is one of my favorite methods to showcase a tiny garden while adhering to the rustic aesthetic. Farmhouse-style houses are very famous for their tiered trays, which are often constructed of metal or wood. They often include accessories such as gourds, cups, flowers, little signs, and other decorations, and they may be adorned according to the season. Consider including one of these traditional farmhouse tiered trays into your next fairy garden project for a little bit of fun! A little moss, stones, and little accessories may transform your tiered tray from an ordinary décor item to a magical fairy garden. For trays with limited soil capacity, artificial succulents and other false plants make a good choice. Trays aren’t usually the ideal option for live plants since they don’t have drainage. Fortunately, there are many of fake plants available, so you may choose hues and varieties that go with your unique design idea for the pot. To create a snowy effect in the tiered tray, try using cotton balls, batting, or fake snow for a tiny garden with a Christmas motif. A little glitter or some tiny string lights might offer a mystical touch to the show. Your favorite little accessories may be used to adorn your fairy garden after you’ve selected one or two landscaping materials and fake plants. Pretty garden fairies and quaint fairy homes look great in any little garden pot. Reindeer, a sleigh, Christmas figures, and other decorations may adorn holiday gardens. A single hue, like white, black, or even dark green, is painted on the majority of trays. On top of this foundation hue, little accessories and artificial plants provide color and texture. But before you construct your little garden, if you’re feeling really artistic, you may adorn the tray with patterned tape, sticky wallpaper, or gloss finish. Are you prepared to begin? A tiered tray is available online, at craft stores, and antique stores. The options are endless after that! Regardless of what you decide to plant inside, your little garden designed in the farmhouse style will undoubtedly be special and enjoyable. To create charming small landscapes for containers or your yard, miniature gardening provides miniature plants, accessories, fairies, garden equipment, and dollhouse furniture. The imaginative fairy garden created by miniature gardening and storytelling bring out the childlike spirit in all of us. Every small miniature gardening scene you design is a picture of a fantasy that is full of mystery and intrigue.
