Leah Linhares Photography is responsible for this; courtesy of it. mathieu lehanneur, a French designer, has proposed that solar-powered street furniture may be used to turn towns throughout the world into green cities. Mathieu Lehanneur, an industrial designer who has won multiple awards, has introduced his first urban lighting street furniture collection called “clover.” The collection encourages tired pedestrians to take a break and recharge their batteries, which is in line with his passion for combining design, science, technology, and art. Mathieu is well-known for his ability to create projects that take a humanistic approach. His most recent project is a follow-up to his creation from 2012, which was a digital break that plays on the same note (i.e. urban development furniture). The goal of this project is to achieve optimal wellbeing while simultaneously improving all aspects of everyday life. To put it another way, the solar urban furniture is a sequence of “trees” that incorporates energy, function, and material. To put it another way, it is a “hybrid item par excellence, combining light and seating, wood and solar panels.” clover is carved from a wooden mast that consists of a floor lamp and bench that appears to have been cut and polished by the hands of a craftsman. However, it is actually digitally machined using an industrial process that has never been done before, which enables the designer to blend together different species of wood. The designer refers to clover as a “new living species.” To add insult to injury, the clover bench is meant to be versatile and expandable, with the capability of reaching a length of more than 15 meters if necessary. Clover, which is made up of big aluminum domes, emits led light downward, which reduces the amount of light pollution and energy that is taken away. Solar panels are installed on an extra dome that faces upward, and they are capable of producing sufficient energy to power the lighting for a period of three hours. Additionally, this piece of street furniture has a little hatch that enables pedestrians to charge their smart phones that they may be carrying with them. During the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP21), which took place in Paris in November 2015, clover was introduced to the climate change community.
