RAISING THE STANDARD OF LIVING

In this dental clinic, a single component of the design, which has been carefully designed, becomes the focal point of communication across a variety of platforms… imagine this: A vast location that is situated in a high-end and bustling retail sector in Sydney is going to be transformed into a dental clinic that is one of the most advanced in the world! However, here is the catch: it had to have two distinct entrances with receptions, without compromising on the spatial factor or their relationship with the people who were walking by; in addition, there was a structural column that was an eyesore and could not be removed right in the middle of this proposed ensemble! Pedra Silva Architects, who were tasked with designing this fit-out, believed that “the aesthetic is always a clear reaction to issue solving.” As a result, they used the camouflage concept in order to transform the structural column into the focal point of the project. So, we have the care dentistry that has two unobstructed welcoming spaces with comfortable waiting lounges. One of these spaces is for general dentistry, and the other is for dental implant practice. These two areas are beautifully separated by a partially see-through fluid sculptural wooden element that serves as an eye-catching interior element that intrigues passersby, and it also acts as a filter between the two areas. This pseudo-ambulating partition is not only the predominant functional element that functions as a space generator, but it also succeeds in influencing the rest of the interiors. It is constructed from suspended wooden planks that begin with narrow elements and spread out to encompass the column that is already there. The fundamentals, which include examination rooms, surgeries, client areas, and technical spaces, are organized in a manner that is centered on a central hallway that has a central glass core that is transparent and allows for an abundance of natural light to enter. A highly sophisticated “main surgery” area that is prepared to host difficult dental procedures and is equipped to broadcast them live via an observation room that is located on a higher level is a pleasant surprise that comes in the shape of a technological highlight. In a way that is both basic and outstanding, the design does an admirable job of encapsulating the technical quality of the project!
