In addition, the firm, which is located in Bangalore, promotes the importance of contextual and environmentally responsible design, while maintaining a commitment to the fundamental principles of space planning. The most recent project that they have undertaken is a cozy and uncluttered home that is situated on a small parcel of land of 4,000 square feet and stands out for its unconventional and indoor-looking atmosphere. The design team, which includes principal architect Swapnil Valvatkar and project architects Chaitanya R and Pradnya Patil, has decided to go with a wall-free split-level layout. This layout is intended to make the spaces appear larger, as well as to facilitate free-flowing interaction and ventilation. The home is flooded with natural light via a skylight on the roof, and the hollow clay blocks that are used for the outside walls help to reduce the temperature inside, so reducing the amount of artificial energy that is required inside. A water-body delimited prayer chamber and an indoor-landscaped center court that is positioned at divides are two examples of the public spaces that are designed to be accommodated on the podium level, which is situated on a basement. The top level is designated for the purpose of housing private areas such as the study room, bedrooms, and a multi-purpose room that floats above the ground. Steel suspenders and l-sections, rather than beams, are used in the construction of three cubes, which provide a contrast between open spaces and closed volumes that are encased in louvered shutters. The louvered balconies are equipped with openable shutters that, during the day, prevent the sun from entering the building and, during the night, turn the interiors into private landscaped areas that are warmly illuminated. This is a prominent declaration of the originality of the building. The color scheme is inspired by the natural world, and there is a significant amount of wood used in the design of the doors, windows, louvers, bedroom flooring, and furniture. Blue tiles and textured paint are used to represent the sky, while interior landscaping is used to provide dashes of green to the mostly white home that has black granite floors.
