Design provided by Zoya Photography: courtesy of, A high-end show-flat that radiates luxury without taking away from the comfort of home is designed by designcosmos, a firm situated in Gurgaon that is known as cosmos. An architect named Manishi Aggarwal and an architect named Aporv Singh say that a “show flat” is a room that is draped in such a way that it emanates elegance, luxury, style, and comfort all at the same time. According to Manishi, “the most difficult task was to offer a mansion that would appeal to people all over the world, that will stand out in terms of architecture, and that will redefine grandeur.” The apartment is no less than a succession of luxurious hotel suites, with each room standing out for its own unique level of opulence. It is situated in a prestigious neighborhood in Gurgoan and spans an area of 2,000 square feet. A hierarchical background has been assigned to each area, and design typologies have been adhered to, with color and pattern serving as the set rules. As an example, the living-dining and open kitchen that is designed in accordance with an open-plan arrangement stands out in a mix of black and sterling silver, with a touch of royal velvet. A colorful chandelier, clever side tables, a trendy divider, and a stainless steel table with a mirror-finish table top are some of the elements that contribute to the required level of sophistication in the tiled area. The dining area is covered in the same color scheme as the rest of the room, while the open kitchen is characterized by a variety of brown tones that break up the monotony. While the parents’ room emanates simplicity in an obsequious fawn with dark hardwood flooring complementing the furniture, the guest room takes on a splash of red even as golden ensures that the deep scarlet is not too harsh on the eyes. In addition, the guest room is decorated with a splash of red. The kids’ room is decorated in a cool blue and teal color scheme, and the storage cabinets have a marble-finish black finish, which contributes to the hub’s young appearance. On the other hand, the hues of white that are used in the master bedroom are so flawless that even the hardwood flooring is white. When nighttime arrives, mood lighting creates an atmosphere that is more dressed up, while huge windows enable natural light to enter the room. The apartment is a clear example of the designer duo’s acute attention for details, which can be seen throughout the space. There is a big painting of Buddha that greets visitors as they enter the home, which stands virtually in juxtaposition to the spaces that have been designated as being luxurious. Throughout the whole of the home, the Buddha has been used in order to instill a feeling of tranquility. In unison, the designers are of the opinion that “the house emanates the tranquility that one needs in today’s frenetic world; spells stylish, is velvety, and has the warmth that is so distinctive of a lived-in domicile.” To see photographs of the home that may be found on indiaartndesign.com, please click here.
