A review of the restaurant , located in San Sebastian, Arzak well-deserved time for rest and relaxation Elsa, my fiancée, and I found ourselves in the middle of December in the town of Elrio, which is located in the Basque Mountains between Bilbao and San Sebastian. During this time of the year, we often make the trip to this gorgeous region of Spain in order to pay a visit to Susi, Who is Elsa’s Mother. Susi is our host, and we stay with her together with our daughter Charlotte. However, we make a trip farther up the mountain to see Elsa’s brother and his other relatives. The majority of the time, our daughter Charlotte travels with us, and ever since she was a little child, she has been spending time in Spain with her grandparents. working up an appetite… I have been to Madrid, Bilbao, San Sebastian, and Vitoria for work-related excursions and team building packages. I have also gone to Madrid alone. No matter the reason, traveling to this region of the globe is always a wonderful idea, and it is much more beneficial when it is for the purpose of getting some much-needed rest and relaxation. Elsa and I decided to leave the vehicle in a neighboring town named Bergara and take the highly efficient hourly bus service to San Sebastian. This was the year that we drove to San Sebastian. I should mention that it was almost time for lunch, so Elsa and I went out and purchased a baguette filled with sliced basque sheep’s cheese and a lovely serrano ham. I am not joking when I say that this delectable meal would have been plenty to feed a small family and would have cost three euros. At two o’clock in the afternoon, we arrived at San Sebastian, which is located in close proximity to the Maria Cristina Hotel. The temperature was 24 degrees, and the sun was shining brightly that day. At the same time, the Cantabrian Sea was charging wild white horses. Elsa and I went for a stroll down the beach, and during our time there, we recalled a buddy we had who had moved on to better things but had a deep affection for this sophisticated city. Amazingly good service after having a cup of coffee We made the decision to go in a cab and go to the “arzak restaurant” in order to take a possibility. The person who was working the entrance in front of the small building unlocked the door to the vehicle, greeted us, and then sent us in the direction of the restaurant door that was open and into the lounge. Almost soon, we were checked in, and we were questioned about the name that our reservation was under. Elsa stated that we did not have a reservation and that we were hoping that they would have a table open. My Spanish is still becoming better, so she went into detail about this. The wonderful news that our table will be ready in just a few minutes was reinforced by the maitre d’ at the end of his conversation with his colleague. We found a seat in the bar, which was unpretentious yet elegant. We were taken to our table, which was located on the second level of the restaurant and was one of three tables that were located in this particular sector of the establishment. In the event that solitude was desired, there was sufficient space available. Our neighbors to the left were tourists from New Mexico who were having a wonderful time, and the attractive woman was not shy about letting us know that they were pleased with their trip. There was a couple from Australia who were traveling from France to Madrid. They were basking (forgive the pun) in the laid-back, pleasant, and elegant ambiance. They were located on the right side of the picture. Having made the decision, they were going to stay in San Sebastian for a few days. exceptional service and excellent cuisine We ordered the chef’s tasting menu, which is described in the following way: menu for the restaurant Arzak Pudding made with kabrarroka, accompanied by kataifi physalis, alongside coco alubia, tocino, and castaña chorizo with tonica pipas avec arraitxiki cromlech de mandioca and huitlacoche suflado de mandioca hidratada con huitlacoche relleno de una prepparacion de cebolla, te green y foie (most incredible, unforgettable flavors) This is a mostaza of cañamo and bogavante. The bogavante is seasoned with salt and accompanied with finas tostas made from semillas of cañamo and vinagreta made from mostaza. merluza pitonisa verde lomo de pecho merluza pitonisa acompañado de bola green crujiente sojapato pato azulon asado, in addition to a variety of soja varieties and elaborations, and then accompanied with chocolate candies. These chocolate candies are flavored with amaranth and oregano natilla. manzana negra manzana salteada that will finish with a trufa appearance and an osmotized flavoring In the aftermath of our delectable meal, Elsa chose for tea, while I went for coffee. Elsa and I, along with the other diners from our table, were absolutely smiling with happiness. Despite the fact that it is a humorous thing, this is a really enjoyable experience. This writer feels that it is a beneficial thing to learn about what we eat and how nice it can be, as well as to appreciate the labor that goes into it, even if it may be considered indulgent and it may not be the most essential thing in life. While Elsa and I do go out to dine on a daily basis, we save our visits to Michelin-starred restaurants for really exceptional occasions. coincidentally the following day amama susi cooked merluza (hake fish) for dinner which was served in a light sauce with cockles in their shells and whilst the presentation was more rustic, the fish was very similar in texture and flavours were very near to that we had enjoyed on the previous day in beautiful san sebastian.
