In light of the fact that we need to be able to send and receive faxes, what is the most effective way to go about doing so? It is common practice to connect a fax machine to a dedicated landline. This is the traditional way. The process of sending a fax involves inserting actual pieces of paper onto the paper plate of the fax machine, punching in the desired fax number, and waiting around thirty seconds for each page before receiving a confirmation of receipt. What surprises us is the fact that we often see other professionals working in the field of human services still using this method. We are aware that this is the approach they are taking since the fax arrives to us in an inverted position (which is an entire other disappointment). In the other direction, it functions in the same manner: the machine receives calls that are coming in and prints out a paper copy of the fax that is forthcoming. At the next level, there would be actual fax machines that are connected to the system. Moreover, these fax machines may be customized to save incoming faxes in pdf format on a system disk. This is the most important feature (and probably, can be arranged to send active faxes from pdfs too). However, this option still necessitates the use of dedicated landlines, and there is a problem with adaptability since the line will be occupied while a fax communication is in progress. In addition, there is the possibility of establishing a fax server that is based on a product, such as hylasifax. Our strategy has been to make use of web-based faxing instead, in line with our philosophy of employing cloud-based technology wherever it is possible. This is done in order to provide certain professionals with the opportunity to handle our information technology requirements. To put it simply, we contract out the bulk of the faxing work to an external party, namely srfax, so that we can simply send and receive PDFs from them via any one of a variety of methods (e.g. rest programming interface, email, web). The transportation of data centers is not an easy task. In order to effectively finish the relocation, they demand a well-organized strategy as well as the assistance of a professional data center migration.
